Objective: to identify genes that are differentially expressed in retinal ganglion cells undergoing axon regeneration after optic nerve injury. RGCs were treated with pro-regenenerative treatment after optic nerve injury. The treated RGCs were selected by FACS (CFP+mcherry) and their RNA profiles were analyzed. Also we report RNA sequencing changes to isolated RGCs from immunopanned embryonic day 18 (E18) and early postnatal (P5) wildtype mouse retinas. We report the transcriptomic change associated with RGCs in a survival and regenerative state, and use gene-set enrichment analysis (GSEA) to predict the upstream transcription factors likely regulating these observed changes.- N1, ... N6: normal control samples with no surgery and no treatment

  • D1T.1, ... D1C.10: individual samples 1 day after optic nerve injury treated to promote regeneration
  • D3C.1: as above for D1C, but samples analyzed 3 days after nerve injury without treatment
  • D3T.1: as above for D1T, but samples analyzed 3 days after nerve injury with pro-regenerative treatment
  • D5C.1: as above for D1C, but samples analyzed 5 days after nerve injury without treatment
